Woman reunited with wedding band lost at Greenville recycling center
GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Greenville said workers at Greenville Public Works recently made a lucky find after a woman lost her wedding band at the Rutherford Road recycling center.
Officials said the situation began when the woman sent an email to Greenville Public Works explaining that she lost her diamond wedding band while tossing her recyclables into the container at the recycling center.
“I know the likelihood of finding this is slim to none,” The woman said in the email. “But, if the ring is found during the course of processing the recycling, I would be most appreciative if someone could contact me.”
On Monday morning, rather than processing the recyclables in the bin, workers decided to dump them out onto the ground and look for the lost ring.
Officials confirmed that after hours of searching, they found the ring and were able to reunite it with its owner.
