52-year-old Pennsylvania woman identified as victim in Horry Co. deadly motorcycle crash

A crash involving a motorcycle slowed traffic in part of Horry County on Wednesday.

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - The coroner’s office has identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash Wednesday near Conway.

It happened at 8:25 a.m. on Highway 544 near Tiffany Lane.

A 2023 Harley-Davidson motorcycle heading west on the highway and a 2016 Subaru Forester going south on Tiffany Lane collided, according to Lance Cpl. Lena Butler with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden said 52-year-old Tara Posey, of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver and passenger of the Subaru were not hurt.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
