Lake City man accused of kidnapping man at gunpoint for disrespecting his child’s mother
LAKE CITY, S.C. (WMBF) - New documents obtained by WMBF News are shining a light on a recent kidnapping and attempted murder arrest in the Pee Dee.
The Lake City Police Department confirmed that 27-year-old Etheran Tierral Manigault was arrested on April 29 by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force concerning an incident from April 24.
Arrest warrants show Manigault is accused of kidnapping two people at gunpoint. The first victim was taken from a home on Brentwood Circle. Manigault allegedly entered the home and forced the man outside while pointing a gun at him. The reports state Manigault did it because the victim disrespected Manigault’s children’s mother.
While outside on North Matthews Road Manigault took a second victim, the reports show Manigault said he took the second victim because he thought the man was recording the initial incident with the first victim.
Manigault stole the second victim’s phone, $300, and a pocket knife and told the second victim if he assaulted the first victim then Manigault would “let him live.”
