Man accused of sexual battery of 6-year-old victim in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - A man is behind bars in Marion County after being charged with sex crimes involving a child.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that 32-year-old Milton Walters III, of Hodges, was arrested by its criminal investigation division.

According to a warrant obtained by WMBF News, Walters allegedly “did engage in and commit sexual battery” upon a 6-year-old girl between December 2022 and February 2023 at a home off Highway 501 in Mullins.

Walters is charged with a count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 11.

The MCSO added that Walters’ arrest is part of an ongoing investigation and that “other arrests are imminent.”
