MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF/KPHO) – Carolina Country Music Fest is sending its best wishes to a country music star who recently suffered a heart attack.

Our sister station in Arizona, AZFamily, said Colt Ford’s heart attack happened after a show at Dierks Bently’s Whiskey Row.

Ford is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in Mesa, Arizona.

The country music star is slated to perform on the Coors Light Main Stage at CCMF during the four-day festival that runs from June 6 through June 9.

“Our hearts are with Colt Ford and his family during this time. We pray for his swift recovery and send our love and support from all of us at the Carolina Country Music Fest,” said Bob Durkin, the president of Carolina Country Music Fest.

No word yet if the recent health scare will have an impact on Ford’s performance at CCMF.

Along with several No. 1 hits, Ford originally recorded Jason Aldean’s “Dirt Road Anthem,” which has garnered over 927 million worldwide streams.
