McMaster took executive action in August of 2023 to suspend the council member, Steve Bradley Coward, who faced a domestic violence charge.
Coward was indicted with second-degree domestic violence on May 25, 2023.
The governor issued an executive order lifting the suspension on Wednesday after the office of the 4th Judicial Circuit announced that the indictment against Coward had been dismissed.
McMaster rescinded his previous executive orders on Coward’s suspension and the new order is effective immediately.
