FLORENCE, S.C. (WMBF) - A Charleston County woman died on Saturday after a motorcyclist crash in Florence County.

LCpl. Brittany Glover with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck happened just south of Timmonsville on I-95 southbound at around 1:45 p.m.

Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the driver as 54-year-old Stephanie Grant-Gladden, of Ravenel. Preliminary findings and witness statements indicate that the tire of her motorcycle blew out causing her to lose control of the bike.

She was taken to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries.

SCHP is investigating.
