Fans praise seamless shuttle experience at the Myrtle Beach Classic
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Saturday is expected to be the busiest day of the Myrtle Beach Classic, meaning thousands of fans will have to get to and from the course.
WMBF News spoke with the executive vice president of Carolina Limousine and Coach, Michael McNeff, who said everything has been running smoothly transportation-wise and his staff has a plan for the many more people expected at the course this weekend.

“Yesterday, we moved over 5,500 people into the golf course, today we’re probably going to be above 7,500,” said McNeff.
And, it’s not slowing down. McNeff said his company is prepared to shuttle around 10,000 people on Saturday.
Fans riding the shuttles on Friday told WMBF News their experiences have been smooth so far.
“We were hesitant, but it’s worked out great; everything’s been on time,” said attendee Linda Leach.
“Yesterday and today, I haven’t waited at a stop longer than five minutes,” said attendee and state senate candidate attendee Autry Benton.
McNeff said on Saturday his company will have five more shuttles running to the general parking lot than the 16 they did on Friday.
“We’ll employ the same strategy that we used today and we’re looking forward to it,” said McNeff. “We really just try to minimize wait times and keep the people moving as quick as possible.”
Fans say even though the course will be busier tomorrow, they aren’t worried about transportation.
“It’s worked out so far, you know; we’ve used it, I guess, three days and it’s worked out fine,” said Leach.
McNeff tells WMBF News his company’s protocol has been to run the shuttles every 15 minutes during less busy times, but if they fill up, they will run more frequently.
