FIRST ALERT: One more warm day ahead of mid-week showers and storms
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Unseasonably warm weather will continue on Tuesday before showers usher in a much cooler end to the week.
WARM TUESDAY
Tuesday will feature another round of very warm temperatures. Morning readings in the lower to middle 60s will once again climb to near 80 on the beaches and into the lower 80s inland.
A gusty breeze will develop by the afternoon with a mix of sun and clouds through the day.
APRIL SHOWERS ARRIVE WEDNESDAY
Our next weather-maker is a cold front that arrives into the region on Wednesday. The front will be approaching the area early in the day focusing the best chance of showers and a few isolated thunderstorms through the mid to late morning. While a few thunderstorms with gusty winds are possible, the latest data suggests that any severe storm potential is extremely low.

The showers and isolated storms will start to quickly taper off as much drier air moves into the region during the mid to late afternoon.
With more clouds and passing showers, temperatures will be a bit cooler than recent days with afternoon temperatures in the lower to middle 70s.
COOLER AIR ARRIVES
The cold front responsible for Wednesday’s rain will quickly move off shore by evening and will help to usher in much cooler temperatures for the rest of the week and into the weekend. Temperatures will fall below normal with afternoon highs only reaching the lower to middle 60s each day from Thursday through the weekend.

In addition, nights will turn much cooler with overnight lows by the middle and end of the week dropping into the lower 40s near the beaches and upper 30s inland. At this point, no frost is expected.
