FIRST ALERT: Gusty winds continue, ushering in much cooler weather

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Our stretch of Spring warmth ends as chilly weather returns this weekend.

THURSDAY

The clouds quickly clear overnight, and sunny skies will return with us on Thursday. Winds will remain breezy, with wind gusts approaching 30 mph at times. Afternoon highs will be much cooler as we top out in the lower 60s.

THIS WEEKEND

There will be plenty of sunny skies over the weekend, but the cooler weather will linger. Mornings will turn chilly, heading into the upper 30s inland of the Waterway on Saturday and Sunday morning. Despite the full sunshine, we’ll hold the afternoon highs in the lower 60s.

NEXT WEEK

Warmer weather will quickly return next week as we make another run through the 70s. Rain chances look to remain very low for the next week.
