MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Our next cold front will usher in a round of heavy rain later this week.

WEDNESDAY

The clouds will linger into Wednesday morning, with a shower or two around mid-morning. Expect some breaks in the clouds later in the day as temperatures head warmer. Afternoon highs climb into the lower 70s along the Grand Strand, closer to 80° in the interior of the Waterway.

SOGGY THURSDAY

Our cold front arrives early on Thursday, bringing in a round of heavy rain early in the day. Expect the heaviest rain to arrive from sunrise through lunchtime. Good news? Heavy rain will likely limit the amount of fuel needed for storms later in the day, lowering the threat of severe weather.

We’ll watch for additional storm development on Thursday afternoon, but the coverage should remain limited.
