FIRST ALERT: Beautiful spring weekend on the way
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Sunny skies, less wind and mild temperatures settle in for the weekend.
BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND AHEAD
High pressure will build into the region over the weekend resulting in sunny skies and very pleasant temperatures. Saturday afternoon will still be a bit breezy. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the lower 70s for both the Grand Strand and Pee Dee.
Temperatures will be a bit cool once again Saturday night with inland areas returning to the upper 40s while the Grand Strand drops into the lower 50s.
Sunday will be the start of a warming trend. Inland temperatures will climb all the way to near 80 by the afternoon while the beaches climb into the lower 70s.
HINT OF SUMMER NEXT WEEK
Temperatures will continue to climb next week as a summer-like weather pattern begins to shape up. Grand Strand temperatures will soar to around 80 each afternoon starting on Monday and lasting for most of the week.
Once away from the cool Atlantic, temperatures will be even warmer across the Pee Dee. Temperatures will soar to well above normal with afternoon highs reaching the middle 80s for most of the week.
