MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Unseasonable warmth will continue for the rest of the week before cooler weather and increasing rain chances arrive for the weekend.

REST OF THE WORKWEEK
Mostly sunny skies return to the area on Thursday as temperatures climb once again. Afternoon highs will return to the lower 80s at the beach and into the upper 80s to near 90 inland.
Friday will see very warm temperatures once again. As moisture starts to increase, there is a slight chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm by the late afternoon and evening.
WEEKEND CHANGES
A cold front will approach the region on Saturday. Ahead of the front, temperatures will remain very warm with highs near 90 at the beaches and middle 80s inland. Moisture will continue to increase across the area, and a few showers and storms will be possible by the afternoon and evening with best chances near the beaches as the front interacts with the sea breeze.
The front will push off shore Saturday night allowing much cooler weather to return. At the same time, a surge of moisture will overspread the region with cloudy skies and increasing rain chances developing by Sunday. Sunday afternoon temperatures will only climb into the lower 70s.
A period of steady rain is likely to develop by Sunday evening into Sunday night.
