FIRST ALERT: Warm week ahead with a few rain chances

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Mild temperatures will continue through the week with a few shower and thunderstorm chances at times.

TUESDAY

Another mostly sunny and mild day is on tap for Tuesday afternoon temperatures reach the upper 70s near the beach and lower 80s inland. Plenty of sunshine early in the day will give way to increasing clouds by the afternoon and evening.

A stray shower or two will be possible inland by the evening hours and a few showers will be possible near the beaches Tuesday night.

WEDNESDAY RAIN CHANCE

A quick-moving disturbance will move into the Carolinas Wednesday, leading to more clouds and the chance of pop up showers and a few storms at times.

Even with the rain chance, temperatures remain warm but a few degrees cooler than Tuesday with afternoon temperatures in the upper 70s inland and middle 70s near the beaches.

REST OF THE WEEK

Mostly sunny skies return again Thursday and Friday with temperatures returning to the upper 70s near the beaches and lower 80s inland. By the weekend, more humidity will gradually increase and will lead to a risk of a few showers and storms at times, however no widespread rain is expected.
