FIRST ALERT: Mild and dry to end the week
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Dry weather will return for Thursday and Friday with plenty of warmth. Increasing humidity leads to a few showers and storms this weekend.
THURSDAY
Thursday will start off with areas of patchy fog and mild temperatures in the lower to middle 60s. With plenty of sunshine, afternoon highs will climb into the upper 70s at the beach and lower 80s inland.
Friday will see more of the same with sunny skies and a rain-free forecast.
THIS WEEKEND
A weak cold front will move into the Carolinas and stall over the area through the weekend. While widespread rain is not expected, a few showers and storms will be possible at times Saturday and Sunday. Rain chances are at 30% for Saturday for Sunday. Temperatures will remain warm through the weekend with the upper 70s on the beaches and lower 80s for inland areas.
