Deadly I-95 crash in Dillon County involved tractor-trailer, SCHP says

DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - Authorities have released more details about a deadly crash along Interstate 95 in the Pee Dee.
LCpl. Lena Butler with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck happened at around 7:10 a.m. Wednesday near mile marker 196.
Butler said the driver of a 2017 tractor-trailer collided with a 2005 Toyota Prius as both were heading north. She added the driver of the Prius later died as a result of the crash.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to a hospital with injuries. No further details were provided on their condition.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley also confirmed to WMBF News on Wednesday that he responded to the scene.
