Darlington County deputies investigate deadly shooting; suspect turns himself in

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office said a shooting in the Hartsville area turned deadly.
Deputies were called on Wednesday night to the area of Johnson Street for a shooting where a person was killed.
The person’s identity has not been released yet.
The sheriff’s office said that the gunman turned himself in, but is being treated at the hospital while multiple charges are pending.
Authorities said once all charges are filed, the suspect’s name will be released.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, along with the State Law Enforcement Division, is investigating the shooting.
