North Myrtle Beach police were told around 5:45 p.m. on April 5 to be on the lookout for a car stolen out of Charlotte.

Field Training Officer Perrino and his trainee Officer Howard saw a car that matched the alert’s description on Highway 17 around 14th Avenue South.

They pulled over Gano, who claimed a friend let her drive the car, and took her into custody.

The officers then found 9.18 grams of heroin, 11.89 grams of fentanyl and 2.05 grams of methamphetamines in the car, according to a police report.

“These officers not only recovered a stolen vehicle but also removed deadly drugs from the streets of North Myrtle Beach,” a Facebook post from the department reads.

Police said Gano also had an active narcotics warrant from the South Carolina Probation and Parole.

Gano had two prior drug convictions, one in 2018 and another in 2023.

She is currently booked in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center under a $135,000 bond.
