1 arrested after chase along Ocean Boulevard reached 100 mph, documents show
HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A car blew through a stop sign which led to a high-speed chase along a busy Ocean Boulevard, according to a police report.
An incident report states that an officer saw the car drive speed through a stop sign with “a clear disregard for civilian foot traffic” at 17th Avenue South and Ocean Boulevard in the Myrtle Beach area.
According to the report and arrest warrants, when the officer activated the blue lights, the suspect’s car sped away on Ocean Boulevard with speeds reaching up to 100 mph.
The suspect’s car turned onto Highway 17 Business at some point, and that’s when officers deployed stop sticks and hit all four tires, according to the police report.

The documents state the suspect pulled into a driveway along Highway 15, got out of the car and tried to run away.
Police said the suspect was holding a clear plastic bag and then threw it on the ground.
The incident report states that officers found about 27 grams of crack cocaine in the bag near the car.
Officers arrested Krystall Cox and charged her with failure to stop for a blue light and trafficking crack cocaine.
She remains at J. Reuben Long Detention Center under a $55,000 bond.
