1 injured after shooting in Georgetown; investigation underway

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WMBF) - Police are investigating a call for shots fired Wednesday evening in Georgetown.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Emanuel Street and Alex Alford Street for the call and upon arrival they found a man suffering a gunshot wound to his leg.
EMS took the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
Officers remain on the scene to interview witnesses and process the crime scene for evidence.
