MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Police swarmed a Myrtle Beach community early Wednesday morning.

Myrtle Beach police Cpl. Chris Starling said they were called to 1028 Poplar Drive in Ramsey Acres to execute a search warrant related to drugs at the home. It’s not clear at this point exactly what officers found.

WMBF News received a Ring doorbell video from a neighbor in the area that shows the police response. Multiple police cars and an armored truck are seen passing by before some sort of bang sound. It is unclear what that sound is.

Police confirmed there were arrests in the case. We are waiting to get the names and the charges associated with the investigation.

Our crews also saw a sign on the door of the home at the center of the investigation, stating that the home was uninhabitable. The city of Myrtle Beach confirmed the house was deemed unsafe for human habitation due to unsanitary conditions.

“Due to numerous quality of life issue concerns in regards to the Ramsey Acres Community, Myrtle Beach Police Department and City Departments through the City of Myrtle Beach have continued to work with community members to address these concerns,” the department posted on Facebook about the police presence in the neighborhood.

Neighbors like Jim Henry hope more action is taken against the people who own the home.

“They just need to be held accountable. Hopefully, with us coming forward and with the increase resources in our neighborhood, they’re going to finally be able to get them,” Henry said.
