MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - A Myrtle Beach man was arrested Monday after allegedly firing a weapon twice within 48 hours.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department said 23-year-old Travon Morris is charged with two counts of discharging firearms into a dwelling.

Police said both calls about a weapon being fired came from the 900 block of Crimson Street. The first shooting happened the morning of March 15 where a home and vehicle were struck by gunfire overnight. The second call came early on the morning of March 17 where a vehicle had been hit.

No one was hurt in either incident.

The MBPD said Morris’ arrest came with help from the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network and the Horry County Police Department.

Court records show Morris was granted a nearly $21,000 bond following his arrest, but it has not been posted.
