MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Police have arrested a man connected to an aggravated assault in Myrtle Beach last week.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department said officers were at the scene of what was described as an aggravated assault on Friday around 3 p.m. at the 1000 block of Poplar Drive.

Police confirmed they arrested 46-year-old Jason Bynum, of Myrtle Beach, and charged him with third-degree burglary and first-degree assault.

Bynum allegedly broke into a building and started to assault a victim inside and then ran away. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
