Deric Rush is a native of the Midlands, born and raised in Sumter County.
After graduating from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina in 2020, Deric’s reporting career began at WITN News in Greenville, N. C.
In Greenville, he served as a bureau chief in both the Jacksonville and New Bern bureaus, and an evening solo anchor for the 4 p.m. newscasts.
