WMBF News received a Ring doorbell video from a neighbor in the area that shows the police response. Multiple police cars and an armored truck are seen passing by before some sort of bang sound. It is unclear what that sound is.
Our crews also saw a sign on the door of the home at the center of the investigation, stating that the home was uninhabitable. The city of Myrtle Beach confirmed the house was deemed unsafe for human habitation due to unsanitary conditions.
The city and homeowners in the Ramsey Acres neighborhood have been working for the past few months to address concerns on a strip of land between Highway 501 and Robert Grissom Parkway where there has been rise in violence, drug dealing and prostitution.
