CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The Carolina Panthers have added another defensive veteran in former South Carolina Gamecock and No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney.

ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter stated that the deal for Clowney is a two-year, $20 million deal worth up to $24 million.

Last season in Baltimore, Clowney tied a career-high in sacks with 9.5 and started 15 games for the Ravens.

Clowney was the No. 1 overall draft pick by the Houston Texans in 2014 and has 52.5 career sacks.
